dunno if it's of any use Von...but I done a front end swap on my old zzr1100. I put on a ZX9 front end and the same as you, the prefered method of sorting the yoke/stem problem was to have a new one machined.

I found out the stem of the 9 & the 11 were the same diameter it was just the length of the stem on the 9 was too short.

Perfomoto in Tottenham came to my rescue and swapped the 11 & 9 stems over....fuck knows how but they only charged me £80 quid I think it was and bob you aunty's live in lover, everything fitted lovely like.

So just an idea to chuck in, if you can find a stem that fits the headstock that has the incorrect yokes, you may be able to get em swapped over.

finely!!! am moving on... got Bandit 600 front forks & yokes... £125..sweet.

after removing GT yokes, and doing some measuring to the yoke stem.. have found that a 15mm thick spacer to the bottom of the Bandit yoke stem, where the bottom taper bearing gos should work well.. then take 3mm off the thickness of the stem, so the GT bottom taper bearing will fit, the top bearing is same size so no need to alter that, but may need a 5mm spacer for the steering lock nut ?.

took the yokes to work today.. had the yoke stem pressed out of the bottom yoke so it can be turned down.. "5 tonne popped it out"..no trouble!!

next step... the arse end.. keeping with bandit, going to graft the bandit swing arm on.. but convert it to twin shock try and keep to the 70's look if i can ?..
