engine back in frame...Modded swing arm in place... the bandit sprocket carrier
won't work!!!
the front sprocket lineament to the rear is far to large!! would have to take nearly 2" off
had a talk with a GT owner he's told me I'll need a GSX750F rear sprocket carrier as it's smaller and it will only need about 9mm taking off it for it to work,
I'll give it a go and see what happens...![]()
Sounds like its getting there Von... any piccies ?

indeed i have Mand.....
but I'm still unable to upload photos.... s1oppy is gunner sort it when he can..![]()
the GSX750F sprocket carrier arrived....
whoop de doo.... and it's identical to the bandit one... Ho joy..
still if i bugger it up altering it.... i have another one to play with...![]()
mathematics.....
working on a centre line... am now working from centre axis... all swing arms must have them or the wheels would be out of liniment...
instead of trying to just use a straight line from front sprocket to find where the rear sprocket should be...(which didn't work)
have now taken measurements from the original swing arm & sprocket carrier and found that there is only 12mm difference between the GT & bandit liniment..
so the bandit sprocket carrier has now had 12mm skimmed off it (this should work)..
Ho!!.. the swing arm is now starting to take shape.. the shock brackets are welded on.. just the rear brake caliper torsion arm lug to be welded on.. then a fitment to see that all is OK!!
if it all works.. then i could this year send off with frame & "bits and bobs" for stove-enameling and have a complete rolling frame..![]()
