but the run was quite popular with the board members.. i know a few that will not be happy that it's disappeared into the abyss.. some of them was watching it and was going to post on it nearer the time so that they could attend... like you say not a lot i can do now.. on a good note most know when and were.... lets see what develops.

just to reiterate after the debacle on MCN, Me & the dragon will be stopping overnight on the 7th April at the Holiday Inn just off the A419 to rest her back in case it needs it then moving to the Sainsburys car park on the A420 to meet up.

My Mrs has been round a few of the larger shops in own town, Iceland came up trumps with 10 eggs, Woolworths refused, Tesco said come back later, Aldi ditto, Her work place made a donation so we've got some diabetic choccies gonna be loaded down with choccies ! hope it's not too hot on the day ! I have promised photos to those that donate.

the ACE run was conceived last year between me and Ken, when we was out on a run in north wales.. "my hours shoe pass run", so I've never expected MCN to get involved.. see it's about what we do not them.. was brill that paulzxr said we should make it a egg run to what a fantastic idea.. the way i see it MCN have dropped the ball so to speak.. we are the punters and they should listen to what we won't.... not what they say we can have.. bugger it.

Tescos came up trumps today with a £10 voucher, Mrs will get as much as she can with 'buy one get one free' To date we've about £80 worth of a mixture of diabetic & milk chocolate eggs, I'm about at the limit of what we can carry in our luggage !
Damn bike went went tits up today the cooling fan's stopped working hopefully it's a simple thing, The sensor was replaced last August maybe it's that again, It's booked in for next Monday for another new sensor & a thermostat, Really don't wanna do the run in a cage !! At a push I'd rent a H - H -- HAR --- HARL ---- HARLEY !

When this was listed on MCN, before the holocaust, I thought that together we got around 30 peeps - mostly riders but some pillions and Mrs Vulcs in her car?
We've picked up a few others since then, prolly lost a couple too, but I reckon it's nearer to 30 than 20.
You'll have to do a sweep of the forums and have another head count.

Re fitness ? We're doing it in 2 stages with the overnight stop at the Holiday Inn mainly in case the dragons back plays up, I've been beasting myself in the gym the past month, We're a dodgy trio really ! A bike with a suspect cooling fan, An old git with a belly, & a Mrs with a dodgy back ! LOL !

I had a trial run to Watford Gap yesterday just to check the timings - I reckon 2hrs, which is a whole hour less than Google maps' estimate :)

If the plan is to meet up at the Ace before going to GOSH - we need to have some kind of identification.
I suggest an A4 sheet with "Von's Egg Run" printed on it ( wordArt is prolly best as it can be made really big )
Yesterday the marshalls had this type of ID on their bikes and it stood up quite well. There's no need to attach it to the bikes too early but we could wave them about like chauffeurs at the airport. :)
It would also help the GOSH security recognise who's involved for parking purposes.
i see your point... but trust me... we all will be easy to spot at "watford gap".. see Kwak is one tall feller and would be very hard to miss..;)

& shiny, Just gotta check the oil in the morning fill it up & move from Cornwall about noon to Swindon. Had a 'moment' while cleaning it outside my garage, I wash it cold then run the motor to help dry the radiator out.
3 lads came up the lane one said "allright mate" & I was instantly on guard.
They went about 50 yds & turned round, The motor was running & I was crouched down drying off bits, The same lad stood staring at me while the other 2 tried getting behind me, It was either to get into my garage or even maybe snatch the bike so I switched it off pocketed the keys & stared right at the first lad, they bottled it ! A 2lb ball pein hammer talks the business !
The punto's now blocking the bike in the garage for tonight & I'm 'on guard' with billy baton. TWATS !

no mate... not joking.. gorra pull they said min 98 MPH and max 101 MPH over a 3 mile stretch.. were just after parra departed JK19... kinda think it took them 3 miles to catch me... it's unbelievable after the slow pace we have done all day... Ho well all ride out's are now pending.... I'll see what comes through the post.... :(

Well, I got the video up. But I downloaded a dodgy copy of a video editing program, and it didn't work. So I'v had to use basic stuff that won't let me do anything...
