    Teddy. I understand your nostalgia.

    I've felt it too.

    A word of advice....?

    Never, ever go, back.

    All you'll find is disappointment.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to embrace the fact that the snow disrupts daily routine. I was chuffed to bits when the boys' taxi driver rang at 7 yesterday morning to say that school was closed (and even if it wasn't he wouldn't make it along the bottom road and up the hill that is our lane to get to us), it meant a day of chilling with the boys at home, playing with the neighbour's dogs in the field out the back and letting them stay up to watch re-runs of Top Gear on Dave as they weren't going in today either. We had a phone call to say no school for the rest of the week ................at least!

Eeny agrees, he takes great pleasure in telling me he's going to get more miserable and more like his Dad as the years pass! He also says I'll cope with it as he has other attributes that make up for it :/

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a miserable old bastard.

The world would go to hell in a handcart without us.

Yes, you are becoming a miserable bastard in your old age.

Also, what's with running round the church hall - won't they let you in?
