Apologies for the typos. It's the drugs, you understand. Archie.
GWS Mr. R.
It did indeed, Nick. Just as the internet is killing cds, videos, dvds and so on. Marshall Macluan got it right all those years ago - the medium is the message.
Excellent! I grew up listening to the radio - no 24/7 TV, game stations or computers for me then either. I agree that radio ad's aren't a patch on those of the 80's (and even early/ mid 90's). Perhaps Buggles got it right after all. Video killed the radio star.....
Goodo!
Nick. Sorry, I had Slopp delete it. I posted it at 5.30am today after a bottle of brandy and er, some medication. When I woke up finally and re-read it, I was appaled at how badly written it was. It will return - suitably edited.................._)
Where'd Second Life 10 go? It was excellent, and I was about to post a comment when it apparently disappeared.
Brilliant.

"He quit the business in 1975 to write educational books, including a series on sex education for children and young people. His 1989 book A Year in Provence became an international bestseller." David, do a Mayle, FFS. With prose and anecdotes like that, it would be worth a shot.
