BIG OFF at round 2....

have looked into why i had a big off at round 2

and this is why!!!! the valve has been blown off the tube.

so on my landing from the hump.. i had no chance of keeping the bike upright!!

the front tyre was flat.. here is the photo..

Ouch!! That'll be why the footpump didn't put any air in!
A little off - road tip, don't tighten the valve nut down to the rim, use it as a locknut for the dustcap. That way you can see at a glance (pitstops etc!) if the tyre is "creeping" round the rim by the valve being at an angle, hopefully before it rips the valve off! And it gives a bit more flexibilty to the valve and thus time before that happens. :)

My head is fine now Mandy thanks for asking... was a miner concussion.. just made me more dizzier than usual.... i know i shouldn't make light of it!!.. i had to close one eye to get back to the pits (double vision )..:eek:

The bruise has joined up now and is huge, black and still rather painful.... I hate to think how GLC's Nicola feels :(

been on ibuprofen every 4 hours since Sunday... i should be firing on all fours soon.. Hopefully :)
