Bob suggested a cr250 for greenlaning and commuting (7 miles no motorway) as a winter hack.

No I didn't.

The best bike for green laning and the occasional visit to the MX track is Honda's Africa Twin. Anything less than 750cc off road is for HOMOS!

What you need for that sort of commute, with a bit of green laning in mind, is a Honda Cub with knobblies fitted. Preferably one that has had the engine swapped out for a larger pit bike engine with a manual 4 speed box and noisy exhaust.
