I wouldn't be suprised if the 'Lite' style does run a little quicker. Instead of putting in conditional checks, like 'if style = lite then don't display this or that' I just removed great chunks of code. Also there's quite a lot less additional products installed now too, so hopefully it is.

Could just be that the DB has been tidied up during the upgrade, time will tell.
