right.. some weeks back me mate Craig had a spill on his 06 blade...

so off it went to the repair shop...

he was supposed to take delivery of said bike today from the repairer's!!

well!! he got a phone call this morning.. "sorry mate ya bike's been stolen" with 6 others :(

I'm stunned!!

better off ? End up with a new bike maybe ? Meself I wouldn't feel the same about my bike if it's had major repairs, For sure if mine was stolen I'd never want to see it again it would be tainted if I got it back.

Only one good thing about that.

It's not his insurance.

Bet he's gutted though.

yer he is a bit gutted.... but kinda got the impression he was a bit miffed at having to pay another £450 excess....

i woulda thought the insurance would waver that as it's not his fault ?

Why is he having to pay the excess?

The bike shop had his bike when it was nicked. Their claim, not his, surely.

It shouldn't touch his insurrance.

Unless they claim it back or summut.

he wants to ask em wtf they are going to do about it

Crafty buggers the bike shops are.

Their excess is a stupid amount, probably in the thousands.

They'll do their damn hardest to get him to claim of his own insurance not there own

bike shop i worked at was 2k excess per claim, they are insured for the loss of customers bikes, so if 6 bikes were nicked they can hardly complain about paying the excess really as it will all be one claim although the owners insurance need to be informed obviously.
