I can't upload an avatar either. "Upload failed" or something.

Not sure that this is the problem but I think you have to shrink avatars before your upload them.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

If you still can get it to work then either let me have the photo or tell me where I can get it and I'll see if I can do it for you.
