OK, so I've worked out how to make a new PM play a sound as well as pop up a little notify box.

But I have no sounds to make it play.

The best sound provided will become the default sound for new messages.

Does it 'publish' all PMs to Extortions'R'Us?

It's rumoured that the other site's PM system was an open book to you know who.

Unless it is explicitly stated in the privacy policy of the website, that the 'private' messages can be accessed by anybody other than the sender of the recipient, it is potentially open to litigation.

He needs to be rather careful.

I think he's been done over by the leaches before now. That's why ND is in this perpetual "soon to be relaunched." Something legally might have prevented him from just pulling the plug. This way, he can always says there are technical difficulties in the new site to be ironed out yet.

I'm not claiming to be an expert, but Sparky Slider has had it's problems too. Most of them I have managed to resolve while maintaining a day job.

I'm guessing you are right.

The alternative is that he's waiting long enough before re-opening it, for all of the 'old boys' to have forgotten it existed.

I doubt he'll relaunch ND2 in the forseeable future somehow.

Still, nevermind - now I'm no longer at Jobsite I can post on here as often as I like...
